Writing about her decision on LinkedIn, Willis says: ‘This month marks my last with Starbucks, as I’ve chosen presence over position to prioritize my son’s senior year rather than relocate to Seattle. I’m deeply grateful for an incredible journey with countless inspiring partners – especially the incomparable [Starbucks CEO] Howard Schultz and [CFO] Rachel Ruggeri. Being a partner is pure magic, and I’m thankful that ‘once a partner, always a partner.’
‘On a personal note, I’m glad I stayed put – my son just received his third college basketball offer (and his regular season hasn’t even started yet)!’
