Plus new IROs at Expedia Group, ATS and Abnormal AI
Magazine publisher and digital media company Ziff Davis has brought in a former US Department of State official as its new director of investor relations.
JT Farley, whose last role saw him work as a foreign service officer (vice consul) at the US Department of State for three years, has taken up his new role at the Nasdaq-listed firm effective immediately.
With 15 prior years of experience in investor relations and communications roles, he also served as managing director, investor relations at Cowen, head of IR at ITG and various sales and marketing roles at Bank of America and E*TRADE.

Writing on LinkedIn, Farley adds that he is ‘looking forward to working with this exceptional team to advance our investor communications and engagement’.
Over in Seattle, Washington, travel technology platform Expedia Group has announced the appointment of Rob Bevegni as its new vice president of investor relations.
The new hire brings nearly two decades of experience in finance, including equity portfolio management and investment research, Expedia writes in a press release. Most recently, he served as portfolio manager at TamRidge Capital. He previously held senior roles at Balyasny Asset Management, Aptigon Capital (a Citadel company) and Millennium LLC.
‘I am honored to join Expedia Group, the global leader in travel with a clear vision and strong momentum,’ says Bevegni. ‘After many years covering the sector, I am excited to now be on the other side of the business.’
In Canada, automation solutions provider ATS Corporation has brought in David Ocampo as its new head of investor relations.
Ocampo joins after more than 10 years with Cormark Securities, where he worked in various equity research roles covering the transportation and industrials sectors.
Announcing the move on LinkedIn, the company writes: ‘With deep experience in equity research and financial modeling, David will lead our investor relations strategy and serve as our primary contact with the investment community, supporting investors in understanding our business, including the value that the ATS business model brings to our organization.’
Finally, Maria Riley has joined private technology company Abnormal AI ahead of its expected IPO.
She joins after six years at CrowdStrike, where she served as head of IR. Prior to that, Riley worked in various roles at the Blueshirt Group and was director of marketing communications and investor relations at Avanex Corporation.
Riley says of the new role: ‘From my first conversations with the leadership team, it was clear Abnormal AI has the hallmarks of a special company on an incredible and fast-growing trajectory. The mix of innovation, purpose, culture and pace here is inspiring.’
