People moves: L&G brings in Andy Sinclair as its new chief strategy and investor relations officer

Plus new IROs in place at Prudential Financial and Lincoln Financial

UK-listed investment manager Legal & General (L&G) has appointed Andy Sinclair as its new chief strategy and investor relations officer.

In his new role, which he will take up in January 2026, Sinclair will report to CEO António Simões and will be a member of Andrew Kail’s CFO leadership team.

Prior to joining L&G, Sinclair worked as managing director and head of the European insurance team at Bank of America Securities. Prior to that, he had nearly two decades of actuarial and analyst experience across the insurance and finance sectors, including at Bank of America and Standard Life.

The appointment ‘builds on the strong foundations already in place, further enhancing L&G’s strategic and investor relations capabilities and helping to sustain momentum and focus on long-term performance,’ the company says in a press release.

Sinclair joins L&G alongside Emma Holden, who will take up the role of chief people officer.

Speaking about his new role, Sinclair adds: ‘I’m very pleased to join L&G – a business I’ve followed closely for many years and greatly admire. L&G has a strong execution track record and meaningful long-term purpose. I look forward to working with António, Andrew and colleagues across the group to help build on our strengths.’

Elsewhere in the financial sector, NYSE-listed Prudential Financial has announced the appointment of Tina Madon as its global head of investor relations.

Starting in her new role from December 1, Madon will succeed Bob McLaughlin, who will be retiring from Prudential at the end of 2025. She joins Prudential from Lincoln Financial, where she served as head of investor relations.

Prior to that, Madon held senior investor relations roles at Focus Financial Partners, Arbor Advisory Group, Och-Ziff Capital Management and Merrill Lynch. She began her career as an investment banker at Lehman Brothers.

‘Tina is a seasoned investor relations leader and innovator, with a strong track record for engaging investors in ways that foster greater understanding, clarity and appreciation for strategy and performance,’ says Prudential’s CFO Yanela Frias. ‘I look forward to partnering with Tina and our investor community as we sharpen our focus on becoming a higher-growth company.’

Fellow NYSE-listed company Lincoln Financial has promoted its current head of financial planning and analysis (FP&A) John Muething to take on a new role as head of investor relations in addition to his existing duties.

Having already spent more than 17 years at Lincoln, Muething ‘brings deep financial expertise and a strong understanding of the company’s business and strategic priorities,’ the company says in a press release.

‘John’s extensive knowledge of our business and proven financial acumen make him exceptionally well-suited to lead our IR function,’ says Lincoln’s CFO Chris Neczypor.

‘He has been instrumental in shaping our financial strategy and external stakeholder communications and has already begun engaging with the investment community.’

Finally, Kim Anderson Watkins has revealed that she will be stepping down from her current role as vice president, investor relations at financial technology company Intuit.

Announcing the move on LinkedIn, Anderson writes: ‘I’m wrapping up my time here and getting ready to begin my next adventure.

‘It’s hard to put into words what this company – and the people – mean to me. I’ve truly grown as a leader at Intuit, surrounded by some of the smartest, most curious and collaborative colleagues anyone could hope for. The relationships built along the way have been deeply meaningful and I’m so grateful for the learning, laughter and trust we’ve shared.

‘Leading IR for a company with such an inspiring mission – to power prosperity around the world – has been the privilege of a lifetime. Working with and learning from an exceptional leadership team to tell that story with clarity and heart has been both inspiring and energizing.’
