Ingrid Goldberg, former Novocure vice president of finance and IR, takes over at medical devices firm
Ryan Weispfenning, head of IR at the multiple IR Impact award-winning team at Medtronic, is taking up a new role in the team at the medical device company’s diabetes spin-off.
The news comes as Ingrid Goldberg has been named as Weispfenning’s replacement, with both changes coming into effect as of December 8.
Goldberg previously served as vice president of finance and IR at Novocure, where she led investor relations, communications and business development functions. Before Novocure, she held multiple leadership positions at Abiomed (now part of Johnson & Johnson MedTech).
Weispfenning has more than 25 years of experience at Medtronic, joining its IR team 17 years ago and leading it for more than a decade.
Under his tenure, the company has won several IR Impact Awards in the US: In 2025, it took home the trophy for the best use of social media and video.
He will take over the IR function for the new unit, called MiniMed, and work closely with its executive team, Medtronic says in a statement.
‘After leading Medtronic investor relations for the past decade, I am now honored to help establish the investor relations function for MiniMed as we prepare for its intended separation into an independent, public company,’ says Weispfenning.
‘This is a pivotal moment for the diabetes business and I look forward to partnering with the MiniMed leadership team and engaging with the investor community to articulate our long-term strategy, growth opportunities and commitment to improving outcomes for people living with diabetes worldwide,’ he adds.
