Plus former head of IR at Warner Bros Discovery finds new role at Airbnb
London-listed biopharmaceutical company AstraZeneca has brought in Joris Silon as its new head of IR, in a move effective from 1 March.
Silon, who previously served as the firm’s country president for AstraZeneca US, will replace Andy Barnett, who is taking up another internal position.
AstraZeneca says Silon ‘led and delivered significant growth’ for the company in its largest market, according to a press release announcing the move. He joined AstraZeneca in 2000 and has held various leadership roles in Asia, Europe and the US.

Aradhana Sarin, the company’s CFO, says: ‘I am delighted that such a highly experienced and talented leader as Joris will lead our investor relations team through our next wave of growth.
‘I would also like to thank Andy Barnett for his remarkable leadership of our investor relations team over the past four years and wish him the best of luck as he transitions to an important new role within the company.’
Over in Chesapeake, Virginia, retail chain Dollar Tree has appointed Daniel Delrosario as its new senior vice president of investor relations and treasurer.
In his new role, Delrosario will oversee the IR and treasury functions, including capital markets strategy, liquidity management and engagement with the investment community.

Prior to joining Dollar Tree, he worked as vice president of investor relations and treasury at Burlington Stores and held other senior investment roles at Polar Asset Management Partners, Harvard Management Company and Wellington Management.
Stewart Glendinning, Dollar Tree’s CFO, says: ‘Daniel brings a strong combination of investor perspective, corporate finance expertise and leadership experience that will be instrumental in supporting our financial strategy and ongoing engagement with the investment community.’
Meanwhile, Andrew Slabin has announced that he is taking up a new role as vice president, investor relations at property rental portal Airbnb.
He joins the company from Warner Bros Discovery, where he has served as executive vice president, global investor strategy and investor relations since 2017.
Writing on LinkedIn, Slabin says: ‘[I am] thrilled to be joining a great team at such an exciting time for Airbnb!’
Warner Bros Discovery is currently the subject of an $83 bn takeover bid from Netflix, with a rival offer mounted by Paramount and prompting backlash from US politicians and entertainment industry leaders.
Staying in the US, railroad freight-car equipment maker The Greenbrier Companies has appointed Travis Williams as its new head of investor relations.
Most recently serving as senior director of investor relations at Enerpac Tool Group, Williams also held similar roles at Invesco, Stephens and Wasatch Global Investors.

Over in Canada, Shrinal Inamdar has been promoted to vice president, investor relations at Nasdaq-listed biotechnology company Zymeworks, joining the firm’s leadership team.
Inamdar joined the company as director, investor relations in September 2023, progressing to become senior director in January 2025. She previously worked in an advisory capacity for SIIR and held various investor relations roles at Liminal Biosciences.
Finally, Euronext-listed engineering company DBA Group has appointed Raffaele De Bettin as its new investor relations manager, replacing the outgoing Federico Piccin.
In a press release announcing the move, the Italian firm thanked Piccin ‘for the work carried out during the collaboration’ during his time with the company.
