People moves: Joshua Levine served up as Campbell’s head of IR as Rebecca Gardy retires

Plus changes at LyondellBasell, Sonic Automotive and National Grid

Consumer goods firm The Campbell’s Company has announced that Joshua Levine will be taking over the reins of its IR team, as head of IR Rebecca Gardy retires after a six-year tenure at the firm.

A seasoned IRO, Levine most recently served as vice president investor relations and treasury at Simply Good Foods and previously served as vice president of IR at Sovos Brands until it was acquired by Campbell’s in 2024. Prior to that, he worked as a buy side investment analyst covering the consumer industry at several hedge funds and covering the food industry at JP Morgan.

‘Josh is a highly respected investor relations leader with deep experience across finance, capital markets and the food industry,’ says Campbell’s CFO Todd Cunfer. ‘He has a strong track record of building trust and credibility with the investment community and partnering closely with business leaders. I am confident Josh will be a great fit for our team and will further strengthen our investor engagement.’

Meanwhile, Gardy is thanked for her time at the company during. Gardy ‘strengthened Campbell’s engagement with the investment community and helped elevate the company’s investor communications and market visibility, including playing a pivotal role in Campbell’s listing transfer to NASDAQ’, the company writes.

During Gardy’s tenure, Campbell’s was awarded the trophy for best investor event (small to mid-cap) at the IR Impact Awards – US 2025.

Meanwhile, NYSE-listed chemicals firm LyondellBasell (LYB) has announced the appointment of David Dennison as its new head of investor relations, replacing Dave Kinney who will retire after 35 years of service at the firm.

Dennison joined LYB in 2007 and brings nearly 30 years of industry experience to the role. He has held various leadership positions in the company’s planning, commercial and strategic functions, including leading several Intermediates and derivatives businesses. Prior to joining LYB, he worked for Eli Lilly and Albemarle Corp.

Agustin Izquierdo, executive vice president and at LYB, says: ‘[Denniso’s] significant experience in global petrochemical markets will help us continue to shape investor understanding and foster clear, two-way engagement with the shareholder community.’

In North Carolina, Cody Karns has started a new role as senior manager, investor relations and capital strategy at Sonic Automotive.

The move sees Karns rejoin a company where he started his career as a corporate development intern, before moving onto joining the company’s corporate development team for seven years. He also served as senior manager, corporate development at Trane Technologies.

Elsewhere, Elizabeth Castelo has joined Zscaler as the firm’s investor relations specialist.

She joins the cloud cybersecurity company – and multiple IR Impact award-winning team – after a stint as EA business partner, investor relations at Intuit. Prior to that, she held various executive assistant roles at Perceive, Bristlecone and CalHIPSO.

‘Truly honored to be joining Zscaler… I leave Intuit with sadness and tremendous gratitude for the opportunity and friendships,’ she writes on LinkedIn.

In the UK, Andrew Downey has been appointed interim director of investor relations at energy company National Grid.

Downey previously served as group FP&A director at Phoenix Group, prior to which he worked as IR director at the financial services firm. Before that, he held IR roles at Virgin Money UK and Lloyds Banking Group.

Writing about the move on LinkedIn, he says: ‘[National Grid] is a fascinating business that is at the heart of the UK and US energy systems, and plays a central role in supporting energy security, economic growth and the transition to a low carbon economy. I look forward to working with their impressive team to support in telling an exciting equity story to investors across the world.’
