Plus new hires at Hudbay Minerals, Altimmune and stc
Lisa Caperelli, IR Impact events speaker and NIRI board member, has announced a move to Ardelyx, writing on LinkedIn about her excitement to be ‘working with the team to bring innovative products to patients’ as SVP of investor relations and corporate communications.
Speaking to IR Impact, Caperelli says: ‘I’m excited to join Ardelyx at this pivotal time. I look forward to applying my expertise to build a world-class IR and corporate communications strategy that broadly conveys the company’s patient-focused mission to create a healthier tomorrow by delivering first-in-class medicines that advance patient care.’
Caperelli’s most recent IR Impact speaking spot was on an IR Impact Briefing, which examined IR time management. Sharing her three-bucket approach, she said that when it comes to time-management logistics, ‘my three buckets are data collection – which is really competitive intelligence – marketing collateral and then my C-suite’s time.’
On the senior-management side, she talked of the need for IR to manage initial interactions with analysts and investors. ‘No deal is going to close and no investor is going to invest until they look into the eyes of the CEO and the CFO, but not every conversation needs to happen with the CEO and the CFO, and that’s the workload that we really have to show our value for. We have to take ownership of that, so the C-suite can focus on executing.’
Elsewhere, Nicholas Fenichell shared the news of his move from Fiserv to online payments name Klarna.
‘Bittersweet to be closing this chapter at Fiserv,’ he wrote on LinkedIn. ‘I’ve had the privilege of working alongside some truly talented colleagues and leaders, and I’m thankful for the experiences and relationships built along the way.
‘Pleased to share that I’ve joined the investor relations team at Klarna, a household name in payments and one of the most recognized fintech brands in the world. Klarna’s growth has been massive, but its potential is even greater. Excited to help shape the narrative during this pivotal period.
‘I’m looking forward to seeing many familiar faces among the analysts and investors that follow Klarna, as well as to building new relationships in the months ahead. Tack för att du läste!’
Elsewhere, new hires were also shared across LinkedIn, with Sara Pearson revealing her position as director, investor relations at Hudbay Minerals; Luis Sanay announcing that he is starting as vice president of investor relations at Altimmune; Ghadah Alsuhaim joining Riyadh-headquartered solutions by stc as director, investor relations and capital markets; and Cody Karns sharing that he is the new senior manager, investor relations and capital strategy at Sonic Automotive.
