Plus a new IRO in place at personal care firm The Honest Company

Department store chain Macy’s has announced the appointment of Caitlin Howe as its new vice president, investor relations.

Howe joins the NYSE-listed company after more than five years at luxury goods marketplace The RealReal, where she held senior roles in both the IR and corporate finance teams. Prior to that, Howe worked in IR, finance and corporate development roles at Sportsman’s Warehouse, Callaway Golf and Unifrax.

A Macy’s press release announcing the move adds: ‘[Howe] brings broad experience across investor relations, corporate finance, corporate development, M&A and public company communications, with experience in retail, ecommerce and other industries.’

She replaces Pam Quintiliano, former head of IR at Macy’s, who writes on LinkedIn: ‘After close to four years at Macy’s, it is time for my next chapter. Thank you to Tony Spring [CEO], Jeff Gennette [former CEO], Adrian Mitchell [former CFO], Tom Edwards [CFO] and the Macy’s board for a wonderful experience. And thank you to my cross functional partners and amazing IR team past and present… it has been a privilege working with you.’

Over in Los Angeles, California, personal care product maker The Honest Company has reshuffled its IR team and brought in a new vice president of investor relations.

Monica Baik has been promoted to senior vice president of FP&A and investor relations, where she will continue her leadership of the company’s financial planning capabilities, as well as contributing to the IR function. Prior to Honest, she held finance leadership roles scaling businesses at Blue Buffalo and General Mills.

Meanwhile, Chris Mandeville will take on the role of vice president, investor relations, where he will lead the company’s IR program and play a key role in long-term financial planning.

He brings nearly 20 years of capital markets experience spanning the buy side, sell side and in-house investor relations teams. Most recently, he served as an independent investor relations consultant to Honest. Prior to that, he was vice president, investor relations at Chobani, a managing director at ICR and held various equity research roles at Jefferies and Canaccord Genuity.

The Honest Company was founded by the actress Jessica Alba, alongside Christopher Gavigan and Brian Lee, in 2011.
