Britvic took home the award for best annual report (mid-cap) at the recent IR Magazine Awards – Europe 2019. Before the ceremony kicked off, however, IR Magazine caught up with Stephen Nightingale, director of investor relations at the UK soft drinks producer, to talk about some of the issues affecting the industry and how the firm’s IR program has responded to those challenges.
Here Nightingale talks Brexit, the UK government’s soft drinks levy – or so called sugar tax – on certain soft drinks, the issue of packaging and sustainability, and how, against this backdrop of regulation and Brexit uncertainty, trading on OTCQX helps the company with its US-focused marketing.
