Consistency is one of the hallmarks of best-in-class IR that we recognize each year with our awards. When we spoke to Nichole Saland, chapter president and board member at NIRI’s New York chapter, she agreed.
Speaking on the red carpet ahead of the IR Impact Awards – US 2026, Saland added that her time on the sell side had reinforced the view that reliable messenging is the key to good IR.
‘They’re consistent messengers,’ she said. ‘The story doesn’t just change with the wind, right? If they understand that, they understand that trust is built in the quiet moments and not just a one-off earnings call.
‘They’re consistent whether the news is good or bad. I think the sell side very much appreciates that.’
