Covidien wins four IR awards while LinkedIn takes IPO prize

This year’s top awards for investor relations went to Covidien, Broadcom and HealthSouth at the 17th annual IR Magazine US Awards, presented in association with Bloomberg. Plus, after months of excitement around LinkedIn’s IPO, there was more cause for celebration at the gala event at Cipriani Wall Street yesterday evening: the award for best IR for an IPO. The full results are available below or at www.irmagazine.com/usawards2012.

The awards are based on an independent survey of over 700 investors overseen by IR Insight, IR magazine‘s research arm. Ipreo provided contact details for buy- and sell-side analysts and portfolio managers, then Fox Insight and Mary Maude Research canvassed their opinions and gathered votes via online surveys and telephone interviews. The complete survey results will be published in the IR magazine Investor Perception Study, US 2012.

The awards were presented in association with Bloomberg and were co-sponsored by American Stock Transfer & Trust Company, Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Barclays, BNY Mellon Depositary Receipts, Business Wire, Citi Depositary Receipt Services, Computershare Georgeson, DG3, Edelman, GETCO, Innisfree, Ipreo, Issuer Advisory Group, LS Global Advisory Group, MacKenzie Partners, Marketwire, MessageBank, NASDAQ OMX, NIRI, NYSE Euronext, PR Newswire, TD Bank and UBS.
