Credit Suisse names Kinner Lakhani as head of investor relations

Credit Suisse has appointed Kinner Lakhani as its new head of investor relations.

Lakhani, who joined the European bank last year, will continue in his existing role of head of group strategy and development alongside his IR responsibilities.

Prior to Credit Suisse, Lakhani worked on the sell side at Deutsche Bank where he was head of European company research and advisory, as well as head of European financials research.

Before that, he worked at Citi as co-head of the European bank’s research team. He has also been a member of the European Central Bank’s Macro-prudential Policies and Financial Stability Contact Group.

In an internal memo, Credit Suisse CEO Thomas Gottstein says Lakhani has made a significant contribution to the bank’s strategic direction, reports finews.com. The memo adds that the new position means IR and strategy are well aligned within the company.

The previous head of IR and communications at Credit Suisse, Adam Gishen, left the bank earlier this year around the same time as former CEO Tidjane Thiam.
