VEON, the Amsterdam-based telecommunications company, has appointed Alex Bolis as group head of corporate strategy, communications and investor relations.
He joined on April 1 and reports to group CEO Kaan Terzioğlu, according to a company announcement.
Most recently, Bolis was a partner in management and shareholder services at FB Group.
Prior to that, he spent more than 20 years with Gruppo TIM, Italy’s largest telecommunications provider, where he held a variety of senior finance and strategy roles including head of IR.
In the same announcement, VEON says it has appointed Dmitry Shvets as group head of portfolio and performance management.
‘I am confident that Alex’s and Dmitry’s wealth of experience will be an immense resource for the group and our operating companies,’ says Terzioğlu in the statement.
‘I and our senior management team look forward to working with them as we focus on broadening the services we deliver to 210 mn VEON customers across our markets and growing the value we generate for our stakeholders, including our investors.’
