Wallbox, a provider of charging systems for electric vehicles (EVs), has appointed Matthew Tractenberg as vice president of investor relations.
Tractenberg joins the Barcelona-headquartered, NYSE-listed company from Q4, where most recently he served as senior vice president of IR. He will be based in the US.
Prior to becoming the IR officer at Q4, Tractenberg worked for the company as an IR partner, a role that involved offering counsel to public company clients about their IR work.
Before that, he held senior IR roles at WestRock Company, Belden and Cisco Systems. He also spent eight years as treasurer and board member at the Industry Initiative for Science and Math Education.
‘On my career bucket list, ‘work for a non-US company’ has always been there,’ Tractenberg tells IR Magazine. ‘Business now operates on a global scale, and I felt I was missing that experience.
‘When paired with the exciting pace and visibility of the EV market, it was just an outstanding opportunity. The team and the culture it has built in such a short time are exceptional, too. My goal this year is to establish best practices, increase engagement with the street and help execute our strategic plan.’
Spac merger
Wallbox went public last October through a merger with a special purpose acquisition company. The deal saw Wallbox receive $250 mn in gross proceeds and valued the business at around $1.5 bn.
