Xtep discusses its award-winning annual report and IR program

Xtep International Holdings, the Chinese sportswear company, walked away with two prizes at the IR Magazine Awards – Greater China 2021: best annual report (mid-cap) and best IR in the consumer discretionary sector.

The company was nominated in three further categories: best overall IR (mid-cap), best IR officer (mid-cap) and IR Magazine’s choice award for innovation.

Speaking to IR Magazine, Sophia Wong, director of IR and corporate communications at Xtep, says the winning annual report had big changes in both design and content.

The business had transformed into a ‘global sportswear player’ and the annual report was used to communicate that to investors, she explains.

Wong also discusses some IR innovations Xtep undertook during the Covid-19 pandemic. ‘For example, last year we organized a virtual tour to our shops in China for overseas investors,’ she says.
