Hagerty names Jay Koval as senior vice president of IR

Hagerty, a provider of insurance and membership services for classic car owners, has appointed Jay Koval to the newly created role of senior vice president of IR.

Koval has more than 20 years of experience in capital markets roles. Most recently, he was chief IR officer, treasurer and interim head of external communications at Chobani, according to his LinkedIn profile.

Prior to that, he worked in senior IR positions at GoHealth, Amcor, Brown-Forman and Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide.

Earlier in his career, Koval served as a sell-side analyst at Bank of America Securities, focused on the gaming and lodging sectors. He was also a buy-side analyst covering healthcare at Invesco Funds Group.

Strategic role

‘We are very excited to welcome Jay into this strategic position at Hagerty,’ says Frederick Turcotte, the company’s CFO, in a statement.

‘He brings outstanding credentials and expertise to our investor relations efforts, has a fantastic perspective on the dynamics of a publicly traded company from an investor point of view and he understands how to build and grow a highly effective investor relations program.’

In the statement, Koval adds: ‘There are roughly 43 mn collectible vehicles in our US total addressable market, and even more globally, positioning us well to deliver high rates of sustained, profitable growth over the coming decade.

‘As a car enthusiast, I’m looking forward to collaborating with industry leaders who are passionately focused on saving driving and car culture for future generations.’

Hagerty went public in December last year via a merger with a special purpose acquisition company.
