Laura Kiernan is the president of NIRI’s New York chapter. In this video interview at the IR Magazine Awards – US 2024, she shares her views on the main trends and challenges faced by IR professionals today.
‘What I would say seem to be the evolving trends are really [the importance] of KPIs, reporting up, managing up and [working out] how you get your seat at the table with the board of directors,’ Kiernan notes. ‘We’re seeing more and more IROs being elevated to bigger roles [and] cross-departmental responsibilities being added.’
Additionally, Kiernan unveils plans for the chapter’s upcoming year, including a mix of professional development programs and social events to foster networking and engagement.
