People moves: Mattel names Jennifer Kettnich as vice president of IR

Mattel, the Nasdaq-listed toy and family entertainment company, has appointed Jennifer Kettnich as its new vice president of IR.

Kettnich joins from The Walt Disney Company where she served as vice president of IR and, prior to that, held roles in corporate finance and treasury. Earlier in her career, she worked in equity research at Brandes Investment Partners, covering global media and telecoms.

‘Mattel welcomes Jenn as our new head of investor relations to further our engagement with the investor community,’ comments Anthony DiSilvestro, Mattel’s CFO, in a statement.

‘She brings to Mattel significant IR and corporate finance experience in the entertainment industry and investment management space, and as a buy-side equity analyst. Her deep expertise will benefit Mattel at an exciting time for our company as we advance our strategy to grow our IP-driven toy business and expand our entertainment offering.’

Kettnich adds: ‘Mattel is an iconic company with brands that are cherished the world over. It is a thrill to join the company during such an exciting chapter as it further expands into entertainment verticals and captures more value for its world-class IP.

‘I look forward to working with Anthony and the entire management team to develop and articulate Mattel’s value proposition and path to future growth outside the toy aisle.’

In other people news, Sweden-based home appliance manufacturer Electrolux Group has named Ann-Sofi Jönsson as its incoming head of IR and sustainability reporting.

Stardust Power, the US developer of lithium products, has brought in Johanna Gonzalez as director of IR and communications. Previously, she was senior vice president of IR at agency irlabs. In total, she has more than 15 years’ experience across IR, communications and corporate finance roles.

‘I am excited to welcome Johanna to Stardust Power to further enhance and expand our engagement with investors,’ says Roshan Pujari, Stardust’s founder and CEO, in a statement.

‘She brings exceptional capital markets experience having led communications and investor relations programs for a variety of public and private companies and has a well-respected track record of fostering meaningful relationships with the financial and investor community.’

Finally, Black Rifle Coffee has appointed Matt McGinley as vice president of IR. His experience includes two decades in equity research at firms including Morgan Stanley, Needham and Evercore.

‘With a wealth of experience as an analyst covering consumer sectors such as restaurants, retail, food manufacturing and other industries, Matt is ideally suited to share with investors how BRCC’s innovative, brand-forward strategy positions the company to create long-term value.’
