People moves: Kemira brings in Kiira Fröberg as vice president of IR

Other people changes come at Manulife and Skyryse

Kemira, the Helsinki-based provider of chemical solutions for water-intensive industries, has named Kiira Fröberg as its new vice president of IR. She will report to the company’s CFO, Petri Castrén.

Fröberg joins from another Nasdaq Helsinki-listed company, crane manufacturer Konecranes, where she also served as vice president of IR. Prior to that, her experience includes M&A and audit roles at PwC.

‘We welcome Kiira to lead Kemira’s award-winning IR team,’ says Castrén in a statement. ‘She has an excellent background for this position and will complete our team.’

Fröberg takes over the IR leadership role from Mikko Pohjala, who is transferring to another position within the business, notes the statement.

Kemira is known for taking an innovative approach to IR, especially in the use of video, with the IR team putting on quarterly video updates covering the latest results.

In other people news, Hung Ko, global head of IR at Canadian insurer Manulife, will become global head of treasury and IR.

He takes on treasury responsibilities from Stephanie Fadous, currently the firm’s global treasurer and head of capital management, who has been appointed Manulife’s chief actuary.

‘Ko brings considerable experience to this expanded mandate, with over 20 years of insurance industry experience,’ says a company press release.

Manulife was nominated for four prizes at the recent IR Impact Awards – Canada 2025, including best investor relations officer (large cap) for Ko.

Finally, Martin Viecha, formerly head of IR at Tesla, has joined Skyryse, the developer of a flight operating system, as a strategic advisor.

Viecha ran Telsa’s IR program for several years until summer 2024 and, prior to that, was an equity analyst at Redburn Partners.

‘Martin’s insight into disruptive technologies and his ability to connect investors to our vision will be invaluable as we enter our next phase of growth,’ says Mark Groden, founder and CEO of Skyryse, in a statement.

‘As we pioneer a simpler, safer, and more accessible future for aviation, Martin’s experience will help us tell our story to a global audience.’ Viecha adds: ‘I’ve met many companies and founders over the years, but Skyryse embodies the qualities I saw at Tesla more than any other.’
