Plus Laura Hayter steps down from UK’s IR Society
US lithium producer Standard Lithium has announced two new names to its executive team, including a new investor relations lead.
David Rosen joins the Arkansas and Texas-focused firm as its new vice president of strategy and investor relations, with the company also naming Tim Sobel as vice president of health, safety, social and environment (HSSE).
Rosen joins Standard Lithium from a director of integration role at Rio Tinto, a position that saw him play a ‘key role in the post-acquisition integration of Arcadium Lithium’ into the mining company, according to a press statement. In that capacity, Rosen led ‘cross-functional initiatives to align strategic priorities, operational capabilities and investor messaging’.
Prior to that, he held roles in corporate strategy, M&A and IR at Arcadium Lithium and Livent as well as spending more than six years with in investment banking at Barclays.
‘We are thrilled to welcome the additions of Daniel and Tim to our leadership team,’ says David Park, CEO and director of Standard Lithium in a statement. ‘Dan’s strategic insight and deep experience in investor relations and capital markets, as well as Tim’s extensive history in ensuring that HSSE standards are not only met, but exceeded and built-in to organizational culture, will be invaluable as we continue to execute our growth strategy on a path towards first production.’
Salah Gamoudi, the firm’s CFO, also extended his appreciation to Standard Lithium’s interim IR lead. ‘We’d also like to thank Chris Lang for helping to support our investor relations function this past year,’ he says. ‘With Daniel coming onboard, this will allow Chris to prioritize and focus more on the financial planning and treasury aspects of his role.
‘Bringing on Daniel and Tim is the next step in our process of continuing to evolve and strengthen our capabilities.’
Elsewhere, Laura Hayter announced that she is stepping down as CEO of the UK’s IR Society, in what is perhaps becoming a trend in the world of IR associations. ‘After 14 years at the Investor Relations Society, six of those as CEO, I will be stepping down,’ she writes on LinkedIn.
‘After much consideration this felt like the right time for me personally and I leave the society with a fantastic executive team and in great shape.
‘It has been a privilege to see how the role of IR has grown in stature in recent year, and I am incredibly proud of all that we have achieved as a society during my tenure. I am very lucky to be part of such a professional, friendly and supportive community.’
Hayter will remain in her post during the professional body’s search for her successor.
