More than 30 companies RECOGNIZED at the black-tie event in London, with three new AWARDS INTRODUCED
German semiconductor firm Infineon Technologies won three trophies at the IR Impact Awards – Europe 2025, with two Spanish firms – Iberdrola and eDreams ODIGEO – also matching the tally.
Infineon took home some of the most prestigious awards of the night: the gong for best overall investor relations (large cap); best investor relations officer (large cap) for Alexander Foltin and Daniel Györy; and the best in sector award in the technology category.
eDreams ODIGEO took home the same trophies across the small-cap category, with the travel firm winning best overall investor relations (small cap); best investor relations officer (small cap) for David de la Roz Fernandez; and the best in sector award in the communications category.

For its part, Iberdrola also saw off contenders in the best in sector category for utilities, while also scooping the awards for best innovation in shareholder communications and best use of technology for IR, including AI.

Best IR impact
This year saw three new awards categories introduced, including one that saw its debut at the IR Impact Awards – Europe 2025. With a clear nod to all that the IR Impact brand represents, the latest category to be added to our roster is for best IR impact, where companies told us about how investor relations has been making a significant difference to their firm.
Germany’s Mister Spex took home the inaugural award for best IR impact.
Other new awards for 2025 took in best buy-side management – won by Spain’s BBVA – and best sell-side management – which went to the UK’s London Stock Exchange Group.
Victoria Moldovan, of Purcari Wineries Group in Moldova, won the rising star award
In total, 19 different companies from across the UK and Europe took home awards in 20 awards by nomination categories, where firms can submit their own entries (or others on their behalf) to put forward a detailed case of the work – and results – delivered by their IR teams. Categories cover a wide range of IR themes, from best IR during a corporate transaction to best ESG reporting, best use of video and social media or best investor event.
Those entries are then judged by a panel of experts, which this year included:
- Lorna Davie, president, IR Club.CH
- Heinrich Ey, director, CO-CIO German and European mid/small caps, Allianz Global Investors
- Simon Gleadhill, head of corporate, ESG and IFRS reporting, Howden Joinery Group
- Stefanie Mollin, portfolio manager, GIB Asset Management
- Amit Sanghvi, IR professional
- Gervais Williams, head of equities, Premier Miton Investors
- Laurie Havelock, editor, IR Impact.
IR Impact Awards are split into two categories. As well as the awards by nomination, we also have awards-by-research categories, decided by a survey of portfolio managers, buy-side analysts and sell-side analysts covering European companies. They select the winners for the best overall IR, best IRO and best in sector categories.
