‘You have this incredible investor relations and capital markets talent, so pass it on’
At this year’s IR Magazine Awards – US, Jane McCahon picked up the prestigious lifetime achievement trophy. Upon collecting her award on stage, she addressed the audience, sharing career advice.
‘We have three things: time, talent and treasure,’ she said. ‘At any given moment in your life you are going to have more of some and less of some, but you need to think where you are in your life and figure out that balance.’
Speaking to investor relations professionals, she urged peers to ‘pass on’ their knowledge and expertise of IR to future generations. ‘I can tell you from experience that might be the greatest work you ever do,’ she said.
